Cancellation & Refund Policy for Paid Subscriptions
I’ll be sorry to see you go, but understand that circumstances (and tastes) can change. I’m grateful for your support!
To remove yourself as a paid subscriber to The Understory: Love, Culture, Fiction:
Go to your Substack Settings, find the publication, and click the “Cancel Subscription” link under Account Actions.
What Happens When You Cancel:
You keep paid access until the end of your current billing period; then you become a free subscriber.
Refund Policy:
Within 7 Days: Substack issues refunds if requested within 7 days of payment.
Dormant Pubs: Refunds are given for publications inactive for 1 month (monthly) or 6 months (yearly).
Submit Request: Contact Substack Support to submit a request within the allowed window
After 7 Days/Active Pubs: Contact the publisher directly, as refunds are their choice.
Please note, I don’t offer refunds on paid subscriptions above and beyond Substack’s terms and conditions listed above.
